Witham started the game with intensity applying pressure from the start. This pressure showed causing mistakes by Maldon, who possibly didn't expect this start from Witham breaking Maldons defensive line, Sam Hambling powering through to score Withams 1st try.

Withams relentless pressure saw them score 3 more tries in quick succession from Robbie Bennett, Pete Thompson and Tom Banks and 2 conversions by Adam Wallis. Just before half time Withams momentum dropped slightly allowing Maldon to score in the corner, leaving the the score at half time 5- 24 to Witham

From the kick off George Stevens made a storming run, chasing the ball down to score another try for Witham, with the conversion from Adam Wallis to follow.

Two minutes later a great run down the centre of the pitch saw Robbie Bennett score his 2nd try. Witham dominated both line outs and scrums throughout the game. With a bit of a battle inside Maldons 22 and pressure put on Maldon just before their try line saw Captain Leigh Adams pick and go over the line to score again, and another conversion from number 10 Adam Wallis.

Few moments later after non stop pressure and drive and determination from the Witham boys saw their dominance in a driving maul and Charlie Williams going over for another try. In the final moments Maldon made a break for it and scored in the corner. After a very physical hard fought game Witham came out victorious 10-53. Week after week these lads put their heart and soul into their games. Witham started a proper 2s side last year and this is their 1st win in 2 years. Every single member of the squad puts everything into their training and match days. Finally their hard work has paid off in a fantastic win. A very proud happy coach. Onwards and upwards.
