A very disappointing game for Witham in terms of result. However, this wasn't down to lack of effort or determination; simply missed opportunities.

First half we were camped in there half. However due to misfunctioning line out and a dominate Writtle Scrum we missed them. We got our try towards the end of the half. However Writtle matched us, with, a lack of better term, a very strange try.

Second half we again took the lead, with Austin with an interception try. Writtle then matched us and missed the conversation. As we were desperately fighting to maintain our lead we gave a penalty away at the end of which they converted. To take the lead for the first time that game with 2 minutes remaining.
